Introduction

Hello, and welcome to Every Moment is a Kodak Moment!

In this blog I am going to cover a variety of topics all within the range of video production and photography. These are two things that I am really passionate about! I am going to share some of my own work and technique as well as talking about other styles of photography or ways that video can be used. I am going to talk about Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. Since video production is a wide field, ranging from YouTube videos to full length films, I will probably talk about social media and other ways to share content.

I chose this topic because it seems to be the most relevant thing in my life right now and it is a combination of my two biggest hobbies. It’s also probably the topic that I know most about. I say every moment is a Kodak moment because I am constantly taking pictures and video no matter where I go, trying to capture every moment I can. Sometimes I wish my eyes had cameras.

I have been interested in pictures and video my entire life. When I was little I had a couple Polaroid cameras and I was obsessed with taking pictures. Then my parents got a video camera that recorded on tapes and I would carry it around my house and film little videos like house tours or interviews with my parents. When I really got serious about video was in 2008 when I started taking television production classes in my freshman year of high school. I fell in love with editing and being in the studio and I have been doing it ever since.

I would love to use this blog to be able to connect with other people in the field of video production and photography. I want to share my work because I am proud of it, but I also want feedback on how I could improve. I have been doing this for roughly 8 years, but I still have so much to learn. I have barely scratched the surface when it comes to what you can do in this field. I do want to share what I do know though, to be able to give tips or tutorials and help others who might be where I was when I first started out.

  1. I think it’s important to blog about something that you’re passionate about! I think it’s awesome that you’ll be talking about photography along with video production. You’ll have plenty to talk about in your posts. I think it’s really cool that you started getting into photography and video production at such a young age.

Thanks! I agree that it’s a broad enough topic that I will probably never run out of content for it, especially since it’s something that I’m so passionate about and consumes such a huge part of my life!

This is so you! 🙂 You could talk about your experience on As Schools Match Wits and what it is like to be a part of a real production crew. Being a communications major this blog will be super helpful to my classes and my career choice.
